buds with flourencent tubes?

yes, someone has done it... almost everyone i know uses that exact setup for the vegetative stage. i've also seen bud grown this way till the finish... the result was less end product.. but, the plant had longer stems and wider (broader) growth than many i'd seen... when you're using a linear light source... the plants recieves light from the entire tube, which is considerably longer than an HPS bulb's light source. And while flourescents are good for saving on your electric bill, don't add too many... as you'll see the difference due to the fact that flourescent tubes use twice the wattage an HPS fixture would use to accomplish the same light output.

In conclusion,
While HPS is better and will give you a better end result in quality and quantity... very good bud can still be brought to harvest with the use of strictly flourescent lighting..
