Bottom flowers?

Hey peoples,
I noticed that the bottom foot of my plants have smaller looser flowers. After I cut the top buds off, can I lower my light and let the bottom buds grow bigger? Will that work, or would it be a waist of time?

naaa man, cut the top 10 inches off ur girls, then lower the light about 11'', and 12/12 for three to 7 more days, and you will get alot more flowering that way.............hope this helps,,,,,happy growing
