The Four Hour Work Week Book Review of Doom
PART 1

Yes the book that Is also the bible for the earthlings who are nomadic and make money digitally through their laptops. These earthlings are called digital nomads. They are either coding, creating websites and programs or they can even be virtual assistants to freelance writers and proof readers. Oh yes, how can we forget the Internet Marketers who are skilled in getting that landing page in the first page of google, funneling all of the websites traffic to strategically placed banner ads to get paid per click on the banner ad or get commission whenever a hot item is sold.

The “New Rich” coined by the legendary Tim Ferriss are not living the conventional 9 to 5 hustle they are armed and equipped with time and mobility where they design their lifestyle to suit whatever it is that they like. If they enjoy muai thai, they could go train in this particular gym that I want to go to in bangkok called Legacy Gym and they also have a branch in boracay island in the philippines. They could work on their website, whether they develop websites or sell a physical product such as a bamboo framed bike with lightweight aluminum wheels and maybe sell a service that allows the customer to pay for the services of the freelancer to update and create content for the clients website or manage the social media by creating pictures, memes, videos that can become viral and gain some likes for facebook or retweets from twitter.

If you value scuba diving, you might want to explore and travel remote diving sites and structure your schedule and your lifestyle to fit your passion, by doing that you truly become the New Rich. If you value traveling and filling up your passport with stamps which you have collected and it represents a country conquered, leaving behind wonderful memories that are more valuable, if put on a weigh scale, more heavy than gold itself. Time is worth more than gold itself, this is the mentality of the New Rich.

“$1,000,000 in the bank isn’t the fantasy. The fantasy is the lifestyle of complete freedom that it supposedly allows. The question is then, How can one achieve the millionaire lifestyle of complete freedom without first having the $1,000,000?”

“What is the pot of gold that justifies spending the best years of your life hoping for happiness in the last? When your energy is no longer present due tobacco, alcohol and drugs ingested, inhaled, snorted through random orifices? Yes what about the money? After working hard for 20 years, you save up to go on a permanent vacation but your health has withered because of the lack of exercise due to the fact that you stay sedentary sitting down in a office chair for an ungodly amount of time. This is unnatural. I suggest if you’re a cubicle dweller, buy a 25 pound kettlebell for about 35 dollars and throw that cannon ball with a handle around and do be afraid to make it your bitch. Thug life.

“Would you rather live a tolerable and comfortable existence doing something unfulfilling? Or live a life that is comparable to the life that the dos equis the most interesting man in the world has lived?

The acronym for the New Rich is D.E.A.L.

D– For Definition, you have to define your ideal dream lifestyle so you can manifest it into reality. If you want to train MMA, Jiu Jitsu, or just want to travel. You have to define how you will align your passions to your other passion that generates income.

E– For eliminate, you need to eliminate whatever is holding your creative spirit to pursue your passion. If your passion is to play video games, be all in and become the best, join tournaments all over the world and earn by playing video games. Or if video games are not your passion but you still play video games just to numb yourself or just a means to burn precious time then I think in my humble opinion, you have to give it up. You also need to limit your information intake and just learn from people you meet that could be scholars, students, etc. by limiting your information intake i.e. youtube and or gossip should be eliminated as it doesn’t elevate your current life situation. Only if you watch youtube for tutorials or educational videos or documentaries, only then you can continue to watch youtube.

A– For automation, you need to set up a website that could either be monetized meaning having advertisements by sponsors or an obscure podcast that has never been done before. Going on a side tangent, this book is wonderful as it shows you the blueprint in which you can create a successful online empire but I think it lacks examples of businesses or ways on how to make money online. You can create a podcast interviewing schizophrenics in the psych ward, just pick someone who you can actually understand and when you interview them I think you would be in for a delight because schizos can tap into another plane of existence and what comes out of their mouths is nothing short of mind blowing. And for automation, you need to hire at least one virtual assistant through www.upwork.com you could pay them $2.50 an hour to $7.00 an hour. The purpose of the virtual assistant would be to answer and manage your emails, answer calls from the business line or answer customer service questions through chat, email, or through the phone. By doing a simple power move such as hiring a virtual assistant can free you some time as opposed to being a one man army doing all the work, now you have some free time to enjoy a cocktail while lounging on the hammock by the beach enjoying the cool ocean breeze while looking at the clouds trying to decipher what the clouds are, in the shape of a bunny? Or it could be a lion or wherever your imagination leads you.

L– For liberation. Liberation is acquiring so much free time because your business is fully automated with at least with one to three virtual assistants trying to keep the ship afloat. Now all you have to do is look at you lifestyle plan and plan trips to the waterfalls, the local buddhist temple, or just simply lounge and drink while smoking that reefer only in countries where its legal of course.

What do you think is a better life? Someone who works 80 hours a week making $500,000? Or someone making $40,000 but only has to work 15 to 20 hours a week. Like I said, the New Rich currency is time to spend on creating memories with loved ones which is ultimately, hands down, better than working 80 hours a week.

So who are the New Rich

The employe who rearranges his schedule and negotiates a remote work agreement meaning to receive income while working in an exotic location as opposed to an office but still be an effective employee. By doing this you now have free time since you work for a purpose getting things done a fraction of the time as opposed to working just for the sake of looking like you’re doing something hoping to look busy in front of the boss so you wont get reprimanded.
Strippers who make $15,000 a month who only works 3 months out of the year but travels and samples exotic psychedelics.
The fireman who works 3 days a week getting paid $10,000 then on his free time he or she creates and produces hip hop instrumentals while also rapping to his or her beats allowing him to earn extra income from his passion which is music.

So what does that tell us about the New Rich?

Work hard, you don’t have to be a scholar, you could be a waiter, live off of your salary and save the tips and your salary, work hard for 3 months then travel for 6 months in a third world country using the economic slight of hand where you leverage the value of the dollar and convert it to baht, peso, rupee, or whatever then the value of that dollar that you exchanged will be even more valuable and you could live like a king in these third world countries. Its called taking a mini vacation.

Vagabonding Book Report of Doom
PART 1

“Vagabonding involves taking an extended time-out from normal life. Six weeks, four months, two years–– to travel the world in your own terms”

Busy overachievers are seeking a much simpler life yet simple people try to overachieve and live a complex life. Then again who wants to be a basic bitch. I read this book in my deep depression schizo-paranoid mind zombiefication caused by adavan, prozac, and respiradol. It planted a seed in my mind like a dream within a dream within a dream. An inception. After a year and a half as my business or if you want to call it that didn’t come to fruition I ended up packing everything up and my destination is thailand in koh phangan for the full moon party. Got there December 28, 2015 and went to the jungle party the 29th went to the waterfall party the 30th then the legendary full moon party the 31st.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“Money is what we need to live. And the more we associate money with life, the more we convince ourselves that were too poor to buy freedom”

I think the meaning of this quote is when people go to college and get buried with thousands of dollars or even hundreds of thousand dollars on student loan which now the student it trapped into becoming your wage slave, modern bondage, and modern slavery. You need money to live yes but why not just become a cannabis farmer with a $10,000 investment you can increase your return profit up to 500% to 700% or why not become and apprentice and learn carpentry, plumbing, electrician, welder or what have you and it would be for free (could be wrong) for a while but when you learn the skills then you can be your own boss or create a new company showcasing your skills.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“Long term travel doesn’t require a huge bundle of cash; it requires only that we walk through the world in a more deliberate way”

I think this just means if you have a shitty job like a waiter or a cash teller, you should work for maybe 2-3 months earn a substantial amount of dollars then take a mini vacation and be a frugal traveler only spending less since you can convert dollars to baht, rupee, or pesos then you could multiply the value so then you can live like a king, hence the quote saying we walk through the world in a more deliberate way.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“Vagabonding is not merely a ritual of getting immunizations and packing suitcases. Rather, it’s the ongoing practice of looking and learning, of facing fears and altering habits, of cultivating a new fascination for people and places”

I think this quote means theres more to vagabonding than just having cool flashy gear and electronic gadgets to pack in your suitcase, maybe youre a photographer and that’s cool but sometimes another selfie on top of a waterfall or a sunset pic on the instagram is a little bit on the its already been done category as far as pictures go but if you on the other hand has a pic of you making out with a tiger then that’s all cool that’s something rare but far from unique, they kiss baby tigers, step your game up hombre and kiss an adult apex predator hungry for some taco flavored human being. You ask taco flavored? You are what you eat.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Ting to travel reflects a positive attitude. You want to see, to grow in experience, and to presumably become more whole as a human being. Vagabonding takes this a step further: It promotes the chances of sustaining and strengthening this positive attitude. As a vagabond, you begin to face your fears now and then instead of continuously sidestepping them in the name of convenience. You should build an attitude that makes life more rewarding, which in turn makes it easier to keep doing it. Its called positive feedback, and it works.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“Don’t worry about your extended travels might leave you with a gap in your resume. Rather, you should enthusiastically and unapologetically include your vagabonding experience on your resume when you return.”

I think this quote means that you need a break from the 9 to 5 ground hog day ratrace and you need a break. And if people ask whats up with the employment gap? Be proud and tell them about your adventure.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“The world is a book, goes a saying attributed to saint augustine and those who do not travel only read one page”

This quote means that the world is a mysterious sherlock holmes novel mixed with the game of thrones which the history of the world and the history of the human race spans back millennia. So if you just stay in your town and become a “townie” and hangout and drink in the “townie” bar to watch the football game, you are truly missing out on an experience that will give you pleasure, adventure, and a sense of purpose. Travel and each chapter in the book of the world is written in the pages that is unique to your own individual experience.
