dnt know exactly what forum to put this in, but this seemed good. anyway, i live in NY and me and my buddy came across these spiders, just wondering if anyone knows what they are. pretty sure their the same species, one male the other female.View attachment 2325178View attachment 2325179View attachment 2325180View attachment 2325181
Look up Orb Weaver, I am pretty sure that's it. I got one the other day, about 3/4 inch, not counting the legs.
They're supposed to be common and good in the garden.
Lots of colors, mine was yellow where yours is brown, but same two eye looking things on the back, fat abdomen/ass compared to the head, and matching stripes on the legs.

Its a black widow, the white bulb is the egg sack....kill them asap! Your look at a black widow infestation. Good luck!

i was thinking a brown widow, but that is highly unlikely for this area, looked up orb weavers and cant find a similar looking one. also the egg sac doesnt look quite like a widow,
