Idk htf smoking weed is frowned upon with people in rehab, like seriously?

Imo only someone that knows fk all about drugs or rehab would expect a recovering addict not to smoke weed.

It's been 20+ years but I wasn't ever expected not to smoke weed while ditching opiates.

The objective is to stop people taking drugs of their own accord not to try and take control of their life and dictate it that's guaranteed to fail.

Because a joint to some may be fine, might cause other's to fall back into old, harder addictions. But once a patient is out, yeah, I'm 100% behind regular use of mj if they can handle it responsibly.

What is kratom exactly? And has anyone really successfully stopped using heroin by taking kratom?
Seems to work for some. I've heard it can become addicting as well with pretty rough withdrawals.

Hope you're feeling better @Milky Weed stop by with an update if you're up for it.

Hey everyone I'm doing alright now, on cardiac meds, changed locations for now, trying to start over fresh. I got some nerve damage in my leg but I'm just happy and grateful to be alive. Getting some therapy too.

for me it was benzo and norcos and methedone from the dealer when the scripts ran out. Which eventually was a few days after refill day.

that was some 10 years ago and it took the seizures which follow that type of lifestyle and falling down a staircase eventually knocking out bunch of teeth to say whoops. Too close and enough is that shit.

never quit weed. It was honestly like theonly thing I had. Smoking and growing. I was eventually unemployed and growing was all the kept me from really loosing everything.

now today. I just about done smoking. Been a cigarette the smoker whole life and this past week I was sick. Couldn’t breathe and for the first time ever I literally could not smoke anything, the one day I tried almost sent me to the hospital. And for reference I’m 36, supposed to be healthy bedside the smoking.

Long rant but the great news is I havent smoked a ciggertte since last Saturday and just a couple puffs of weed. Feels oddly good, and I don’t know if was the lack of weed or the high fever but I’ve been having horrible and beautiful epic unescapable dreams.

either Way. Good totalk about these things honestly seems like a different life now

Quitting cigarettes is easy. I've done it dozens of times.

When my wife found out she was pregnant, that was it. Flipped a switch and never smoked again. I fail within a day. Everybody is different.

But that is awesome for you. Keep up the good work for me lol.

I hear what you're saying, imho a pre requisite of not smoking weed to qualify for help is a disgrace, i know from my own experience and others weed is highly beneficial, to ask any addict to go completely straight after years of drug abuse is...
Well you know the success rate, drugs and weed are worlds apart :wall:

I'm glad you made it through opiates and nice you've quit smoking too. Good job, it is not easy, but it's worth it.

You got this man!

When I quit cigarettes I had horrible smoking dreams where i could taste them and feel the smoke in my lungs. Very vivid.

I wish i had great epic dreams...

Epic and fucked up at once. Last night I thwarted a gadget attack at a restaurant where I was working. Dude cut off my hand and the whole dream was trying to get it re attached. Wtf. My wrist is sore today.
