Aircooled hood question

Has anyone tested blowing are through different sides of the hood, or testing the Lux of the setup after trying each? If so which would be preferable? Seems like a silly question but im sure each could change the amount of light or heat emitted by the bulb.

The way that most people set up an air cooled hood is by pulling through it.

However most manufacturers recommend pushing so that the warm lamp air doesn't pass through the fan. Which in turn can reduce the fans life.

In real life situations though its not always viable to have a fan at the start of your lighting rig.

Or are you talking about the lamp position?

I've always been a believer in the fact of you want your mogul socket to be the first point air hits so that the lamp doesn't have hot air constantly passing over it.

Option A for me.
