a clearing agent isnt nessisary, but you could if you want. I would wait till about 2 weeks untill harvest to flush with soil.

first of all, do you know if it's an indica, or sativa? if everythings looking good, i'd say start flushing at 5-6 weeks flowering (indica), and 8-9 weeks flowering (sativa).

I dont think thats a good idea to flush so early imo, plants still need nutes, exspecially during flowering

i always thought that you should flush your plant a few times durring the grow so u dont have salt buildup. ive flushed my plants about 4 time the whole grow. im 4 weeks into flowering. i just flushed them again today! when there is 2 weeks left in the grow i will flush them out 2 or 3 more times.. i have only seen positive results from flushing this much! Good Luck!

rsharp whats your process when your flushing
hey budman. i usually flush my pots after the third feeding. the process i use is: i set my 3 1/2 gallon pot on a bigger bucket that catches the water. i have another bucket filled with 3 gallons of tap water and i have a half gallon of distilled water w/ nutes in it. (same amount of water as the size of your pot). i run all the tap water through the pot and once most has passed through i pour in the distilled water w/ nutes. thats it!!!

my tap water ha high ph thats why i use the distilled water at the end. when i test my ph its usually about 6.4

For soil gardens, I've used Botanicare products with great results, especially their clearing solution; clearex. For an 8 weeks flower I flush once with clearex the third week in then hit back with nutrients til trichomes are just beginning to turn milky, then hit with clearex n then from that day forward straight reverse osmosis water(you really should be using this the whole time, but especially during last flush) til all trich's are milky white. Also a really good way to know when to start the flushing process is when the plants begin to need about 1/2-3/4 as much water as during peak flower. Don't forget, drying and curing is just as important!
