2000 Watts in a 4' by 4' area baby!

if someone were to use a setup where they had 2 1000 watt water cooled lights in a 4 by 4 area and heat was not an issue..what would happen

i hear a lot of people on here saying the plant can only use so much light bla bla. but even with 2 1000 watters in a 4v4 area that isn't even comparable to the sun. i want to hear some science behind this "a plant can only use so much light" theory.

im not just talking about spamming lights at the plants because that would be stupid. I'm thinking a nice 4 v 4 scrog. 2 1000 watt water chilled lights and co2. I'm thinking the plants would thrive.

that would be kinda retarded too putt two 1000 watters in a 4x4....
The reason being is u could grow more weed in an 8x8 area......so why not just use one.... if you have a 4x4 area......????
Think of the electric bill......

Ohhh and p.s..... u should change your name to ham4life....thanx!

Do it. Make sure your using the best reflective mylar and only grow 2 plants. if you do this and veg them for 4 months you will have trees man. and just remember, they will run into each other and block out your magnificant lighting causing you to have relatively the same yield as a single light.

Other wise, your better off with a single light and a sog.

you only have too much light if you can't deal with the heat it produces, but you said you got that under control. 2000w isn't too bad as long as you aren't living in a small appt. just remember anything over around 9000 lumens a sq ft. is pointless. They're not getting any more out of it. Yea, the sun is a lot more, it's also not focused directly on your plants.

Seems like it would be overkill to me, one 1000w would do fine in that area, but im just a noob
No amount of light is "too much" it's not going to hurt anything except your power bill. 8500-9000 lumens a sq ft. is optimum. Anything more than that is a waste. It's only "too much" when you can deal with the heat the light produces. It's overkill. You could have at least a 10x10 with 2000 watts over it, and do fine.

as long as you kept the co2 up and the temp down, it would explode with flowers the size of your head. I have a sour diesel pheno that nearly pulled 2 lbs dry off of one plant out doors this season in a friends garden. id love to put it in that tent of yours with the 2 1000's

i really don't see how a lot of you say that a 1000 will do just as good in the same area as 2000. how does that make sense? the flowers will def be a lot bigger and more developed with the proper training. i saw a guy on here basically doing this only he used 3 600s and he had a lot of huge fat ass colas. i think more people need to try this before just sticking that 1000 in there.

Light is Right..just make sure you have a bomb system going.

I am planning on adding another 1k to my 5X6 area..to make it a 1k and 600. Also I'm doing aero, but light is good for any growing method

Garden Knowm

The Love Doctor
In this DVD - http://www.seemorebuds.com/vol1.php

There are 3, 4 x 6 gardens. Two of the gardens have 4, 600 watt HPS bulb, which equals 2400 watts.

The third garden has 2, 600 watt bulbs and 1, 1000 watt bulb, equalling 2200watts.

Each garden produced about 5lbs.

Yes, in one of the gardens the plants exhibited signs of TOO MUCH LIGHT, this is different than to much heat. The tops of the plants started to turn WHITE - the lights were raised one inch and everything went back to normal, with no dead leaves or necrotic spots where the plants turned white.

In nature, i hear this can happen to plants being grown at high altitudes.

cheers

You'll know if you have too much light from the bleaching effect it has on the tops of your plants. There is such a thing as too much light.

i would prefer if someone who isn't me would start a journal with the suggested equipment. that would be sweet... and then post a link to it in this thread... that would be awesome too..
