20/4 or 24/0

iI've grown autos 2x both with a light schedule of 24/0 and had what I thought were good results Every body liked the bud I was just hoping for a bit more.

Anyway should I follow the breeder's schedule of 4 hours of dark time? Thanks in advance for your hopefully educated opinions.

they grow just fine under 24/0
some people veg under 24/0 then start cutting the lights back but i see no need for it personally
think the dark period is for bud structure

A dark period is very important for plants, they need the 18/6 schedule. 24/0 is a waste.

taviddude grows his under 24/0 from what i understand
and seeing how he's taken the lead so to speak he pulls like 4+ oz a plant
you're saying he could pull more on 18/6 then he pulls now ?
im not one to argue with GOD and all but i dont see it happening

but why ? wheres the proof that a ruderalis based auto needs a dark period ?
