I'm thinking I'm in-between week 8-9. Could be off from what I've read about pre-flowering stage. Still have white pistils popping up in the bottom middle of plant where it was topped. The rest of the buds look frosty and ive seen amber for 3 days now. I'm thinking about giving it two more days because my big buds are turning amber quicker. Could use some advice. Thanks.

I keep hearing 30% amber 70% frosty. As a beginner in pulling my hair out because with my Jewelers loop I have no clue what 30% is supposed to look like other than my top buds are pretty much ready and no longer producing pistils. You get the the middle bottom area and brand new pistils thick as hell sticking straight up. I'm worried I'm going to miss that window before the whole plant is ready. What to do?

What do I do if the very bottom middle of the plant is still producing white pistils when all of the outside buds are frosty with a few amber spots ready to go. I'm in-between week 8 and 9. Now I'm counting from the date I first saw pistils. So I might be judging my time incorrectly. I have been seeing amber for 3 days probably at 10 to 15% but I mean without trained eyes my guess if 30% with all the sugar leaves throwing you off it seems tough to tell. Could use suggestions. Thanks my peeps.

its all a personal choice really on amber/cloudy ratio. ive herd some people like to chop just the tops and let the bottom half mature some more. one of my early grows i tried it and let the bottom half stay in the tent for extra week but nothing really changed(prob from all the stress of taking all the tops off)

Is this an auto? I had an auto last year, I can't remember what it was, but the tops ripened before the bottom so I harvested the tops then a week later I harvested the bottom. It worked for me, had a buddy try this and his auto tried to re veg somehow and messed up the rest of the plant! It's hard to say what will work and why with autos.

I guess I don't understand. Newbie here. I grew outdoors in a pot. Direct sunlight most days close to 10 hours. Planted on Thanksgiving day. Florida doesn't really have a winter. Lol

She's not quite done. The amber you see is likely mostly on leaf not bud. Leaf shows amber early. The tops will take on a different color to the naked eye when done. Well a different hue, they will start to look red or orange, and not be the fresh green.

I have noticed over the last week the tops have turned darker and some of the outer colas on the tops of lower branches. There's one section where it splits in the middle shooting out thick white pistils. I almost chopped her this morning but I figured Wednesday is 9 weeks including preflowering stage. So after learning that I'm not really positive what the exact week is.

Thanks man. This is my 1st grow. I wasn't aware of the preflowering stage so I'm not sure if I'm at week 8 or 9. Noticed pistils January 30th. I read the growing stats for blue spring cookies and it said photo goes from 8 to 10 weeks flowering.

Yes, I noticed the colas turned a darker shade once they had 10-20% amber trichomes. The rest looked liked diamonds crystallized. Lol. I chopped it down 9 days ago. All but a couple of the smaller branches are still hanging dry. Two caterpillars really destroyed my yield. Being my first harvest. I did not realize how much they shrunk. Like a dumb a** I bought 4 50 oz air tight jars. I might fill 2 if I'm lucky.
