Tell me what you guys think!
A lot of people confuse glass blowers with the ability to turn stuff on a lathe.Figured I'd say, this tube was pulled by hand, not on a lathe. Is that usual or unusual? I'm not really sure of the difference to be honest.
I'm going to order another custom piece from him when he has a lathe in a month. Something a lot bigger.
Thanks for all the info Kitty! I know glassblowing is completely different than lathe working, I almost think of it as the difference between Heady and Scientific glass, not the same thing but similar. I didn't even think it might be his first time on a lathe, i'll have to see what he spits out before I order something custom from him off the lathe. Out of curiosity, is the Glass lathe dangerous like the Metal lathe you worked on when you started with Titanium stuff? Just wondering, I've seen some pictures of what a metal working lathe can do to a person 0_0
Yeah I'm actually thinking about buying another custom from the same guy, it's pretty easy to get good deals when you're a return customer and I love his work.If he is making that by hand the lathe will make it easier. It gives you both hands to work and makes the piece spin perfectly even.
That's a dope female slide. I've just started playing with my lathe. It's awesome.
Haha yeah, not sure why i've never mentioned who made it, he's Ouroboro on Artfire, He blows out of Cali.Yeah. I've made a few already. I'm working on an evenflow perc design right now. That person does nice work. Got a name?
