I thought they only rust if exposed to air?I thought they'd rust or something but I haven't had an issue. I cleaned them with alcohol in case they had any oil on them.
I thought they only rust if exposed to air?
Not positive in that though
Everybody's set up is different though
You use any sterilizers?I've had the same SS clamps in my rez for over 3 years now. Still look as new as the day they were put in. No issues.
Nope.You use any sterilizers?
Maybe so, but id rather over think something, than under think it.You guys are really over thinking this.
What do you think beer is made and stored in? Stainless steel. How do you think it's cleaned? Caustic soda, acids and steam.
I mostly work with ss day in and day out....it's quite literally what keeps me up at night.Maybe so, but id rather over think something, than under think it.
I'm just being cautious. Don't take offense. What you're telling me makes sense, so I'm taking it into account, but I want to hear what others have to say as well.
Yea I'm tending to agree with you, and I also agree that I'm overthinking this. I just like to hear everybody's opinion, in case there's something I've overlooked.I mostly work with ss day in and day out....it's quite literally what keeps me up at night.
You cook your food in it......the reason I used beer as an example is because it's in contact with ss for long periods of time.
Agreed. I have pumps in my res, that most definitely have to contain metal, that comes in contact with the solution.Lots of rez pumps have ss screws in them.......
Is there a particular grade of ss, or is it all the same?Lots of rez pumps have ss screws in them.......
Cool man. Thanks. I appreciate the help! Many different grades. But you want 316

Ya no idea. I'm sure the quality of the clamp plays a rollI thought they only rust if exposed to air?

@J. Rockettheres enough "air" in the water to allow underwater corrosion.
