Everyone has their go to method - mine is pretty straight forward.

I presoak rooter plugs in Clonex gold ( liquid ) - pop seed in then place in a tray. Once rooter roots out , into a solo cup of medium ( soil or coco ).
If it’s a “ coco solo “ it is fed just like a regular container until the size I choose - then transplant to bigger container.
For soil , established rooter goes into mild soil solo cup ( or recycled soil from previous plants ) and just water as needed until that’s ready to transplant. Works beautifully with clones too.

I kicked Rockwool to the curb long ago.

I was walking through the forest the other day and there were paper towels and glasses of water laying everywhere.
I bet you also saw empty bottles of rocket fuel and snake oil. I think that's what Uncle Ben used to call it. I miss that old bastard.

Hello again,

I’m germinating again, and want to see if there is a better way. In the past, I’ve used paper towels & it worked very well. I stopped due to the possible problem of having the sprouts grow into them.
Then, I have now used the water in the glass method…..I’m not sure, but think I’m not getting as high a percentage to germinate (only a few don’t, if any).

Thought I’d look into it & found far too many to look at on You Tube. I’ve looked at four so far & all of them start with water & transfer to paper towels in a baggie afterwards. This is new to me & it may be the best way, but thought I’d check with y’all first.

what do you do & does it work well?

thanks!
I wet my soil and stick the seed pointy end first 1/4" deep into soil using a pair of tweezers.

I use a small squirt bottle to put a bead of water around where I planted every day.

I would suggest you look up information on using hydrogen peroxide 1% solution.

It come at 3%.So 2 parts good water one part peroxide.

I would suggest you research it.

Game changed.
