TRUMP CONVICTED

He will plead the 5th I suppose, if he testifies, otherwise all his public statements can be used against him in court and he can't say a word except under oath and his lawyer has to be careful about lying in court too. In public Donald has a muzzle on his piehole, we will see how that works out.

I'm not sure the glass would last long with a few shots in ya staring at that mug half drunk, it might get hurled across the room!
just before you hurl across the room

Nicolle: Prologue over, chapter one just beginning for Trump, co-defendants in GA

Politico National Correspondent Betsy Woodruff Swan, former U.S. Attorney Harry Litman and Executive Producer of Showtime's "The Circus" John Heilemann join Nicolle Wallace to discuss what's next as Donald Trump and his co-defendants prepare for arraignment and how Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will move forward with the case.

Almost everything Trump had done is to exhort violence from his fans and unconstitutional behavior from republicans. I believe he will end up in jail if Willis wants to put him there, he is getting more panicked and impulsive with each passing day and legal revelation. He knows or will know who will testify against him in Georgia and they are almost all republicans. Other coconspirators will want an early trial, some will plead guilty, and some will cut a deal to squeal on him. By the time his trial rolls around it could be him and just a few others left, everybody else being found guilty already. Few can afford the delays that Trump wants, and many will just want to get it over with.

We will see how it goes, but with early trials for the cheese and kraken, could mean others will want a fast trial date too and it might start a cascade. Georgia might end up coming to trial faster than anybody anticipated, except for Willis who is loaded for bear and ready.

How much money did you give him?

We think they are both trash and just like watching them fight with each other. We don't care which guy it is Joe bidens old ass beats. As trump and DeSantis fight to out maga each other it just keeps driving away anyone reasonable (the independent swing voters you need to win).

So by all means...please proceed.
No doubt, who are these idiots who keep donating money to a self-proclaimed billionaire to fight his vast legal battles. What, you didn't really expect Chump to use his own money...that he got from conning people throughout his life.

Sorry, but it's been tried. Maybe new evidence will come out of all of this but thus far, what she did wasn't enough for what you want.

Maybe when Mark Meadows rats everybody out, now that the indictments are dropping like rain there will be traffic jams at the prosecutor's doors and one rat might lead to another as they all try to stay out of prison. I know Gym Jordan and others in congress appear to be pretty nervous about something to do with J6 and are trying to obstruct justice with congressional protection. Jack will go where the evidence leads and the rat's point, after he is done with Trump and his cronies, he could move on to them. Evidence coming out at the trials might even be used to keep some off the ballot in 24, since they only need to meet a civil case standard.

I don't think Gym is doing these "investigations" out of love for Trump or out of fear of his supporters, he is doing it as an act of desperation and is concerned for himself. These investigations will take years and are likely to expand as Jack gets the confessions and statements of defendants and evidence accumulates. Having Trump disqualified in 24, opens the doors to having others excluded too and there is recent state precedent in New Mexico.

Personally, I think MGT is guilty as all hell and on thin ice with the Justice department.

This article from PBS names others:

So, both of my sources said they participated in — quote, unquote — "dozens of briefings" with Republican members of Congress and their staff. That included Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Paul Gosar, Mo Brooks, Madison Cawthorn, and Louie Gohmert.

And we have already had some indications that these members were involved in the efforts to overturn the election. They spoke at the events at the Ellipse. They were billed as speakers at this wild protest. Gosar headlined a Stop the Steal rally in Arizona.

But what they specifically described was these members sort of strategizing to help them pick state locations for protests that would target persuadable senators to join the objection. And they were also going back and forth trading — quote, unquote — "evidence" of supposed election fraud.

Add Loudermilk to the list for giving tours on Jan 5 during a time when that sort of thing was not allowed at the time.

So, Boebert, Brooks, Cawthorn, Gomert and Loudermilk are all on thin ice and I hope to see action against them before the election. That is my hope but I'm not going to speak with the kind of certainty you do regarding it. They are on my watch list. More evidence than I know about is needed before charges can be brought.

My main point is that more evidence is likely to be uncovered with the ongoing indictments and trials, some of these people had meetings at the WH and phone calls on J6. The people under indictment or will be in DC once Jack is done with Trump, or Willis, might want a deal and the heat on them has only really just begun. It is easier to exclude them from the ballot than to convict them of a crime, since a much lower standard of evidence is required. I can see Trump's disqualification cascading into others, especially as more evidence of J6 and the associated plots becomes known. I think there will be a bigger disqualification fight than Trump before 24, but the SCOTUS will settle the law and set the standards for disqualification once and for all, it will be settled.

Michael Cohen: If any of Trump’s co-defendants turn on him, it’s ‘destruction for the rest’

108,160 views Aug 26, 2023 #Trump #Cohen #MSNBC
Michael Cohen joins Ali Velshi to discuss Donald Trump’s multiple indictments, why he won’t pay the legal fees of his co-defendants, and shares his advice to those who still protect and defend Trump, specifically Mark Meadows, Rudy Giuliani, and John Eastman. “Donald doesn't care about you. He will use you as the scapegoat and the system will use you as the scapegoat.”

Challenging Donald Trump’s qualification for election from your email inbox

11,755 views Aug 26, 2023 #Trump #MSNBC #Velshi
Legal scholars say Donald Trump is ineligible from holding office again, and now there's a movement to make sure he doesn't. Attorney, columnist for the MSNBC Daily newsletter, and host of "The Dean Obeidallah Show” Dean Obeidallah joins Ali Velshi to break down just how easy it is to join in on the effort to disqualify Trump from running by way of the 14th amendment. “You don't dismiss the First Amendment. We don't dismiss the second, we can't dismiss the 14th amendment. This is part of the Constitution,” Obeidallah says. Write an email to your state election officials “urging them to consider the issue now.”
