Just a lil more help?

This harvest season I had a problem that I thought I got rid of. Earlier this summer on the buds of my ladies I noticed a cocoon type thing starting on the bud a few had already been taken over, in just one night they were covered. I cut the worst buds off hoping it wouldnt get the rest of the plant but it did. When I harvested while trimming,the buds were litteraly turning to dust. I was just wonderin if anyone knew what this was and how to get rid of it.

Other than suggesting to spray for em can't help you. I lost nearly half my crop to what sounds like the same thing.
