After reading all the write ups on how they just like to grow big I panicked, ran to it and Kung foo chopped it in half lol
Yours looks big too diamond, id love to be able to grow out side... Next summer I might clean out the green house and get some monsters in there... I did it once when I was about 15 with a bag seed... Only pulled off it just under a ounce because completely had no idea what I was doing and no nutes but it was as tall as me and I actually don't think I've grown since then lol
Must be all the smoking.

i like haze nl5

however it pales in comparison to hzxnl5 in the late 80's where it seemed have more of a particular haze male in it..

take much longer to finish than it does now..i guess the nl5 is more dominant

If they take longer to flower but yield more then that's not much of an issue for me, I'd rather be sitting watching my buds grow than putting the next crop in to veg and fucking about training them and all that lark lol :)

Anyone try Mr. Nice's NL5 x Haze?

I haven't tried it, but from grow/smoke reports I've seen, that's the best NL5 x Haze around. People say it's exactly like it was in the 80's.

I have a pack of Mr. Nice's NL5 Haze x Skunk laying around….also known as NHS (National Health Service)…which is supposed to be FIRE as well.

As I mentioned, I believe significant selection will be required in his line.

I'm just going to revive this thread now coz although I have some kick ass strains already, and do plan to make some of my own crosses, I'm definitely considering investing in some Northern Lights #5 x Haze (from Sensi Seeds of course! lol - Pretty sure they do the original and/or best version of it)

So just curious as to anyone with extra info on this strain. Who's growing it or has grown it? Who's smoked it? What do you think of it? etc. etc.

I'm not concerned about the size of the plants, I don't see them getting any larger than Kali Mist or Super Lemon Haze so that doesn't bother me.

I do happen to have a pack of seeds of Northern Light x Haze from Nirvana-shop, but I'm yet to germinate them and can't see the genetics being anywhere near the quality of Sensi Seeds.

Any information appreciated, cheers.
Bump. Much props to sensi seed co for the work theyve done over the years... but do NOT buy their NL 5 x haze. It is the epitomy of mediocrity. Swami Organic Seeds is the only one I know of who holds the real-deal 91' Northern Lights #5 X Nevilles Haze. If you've tried the real thing, you will be disappointed by Sensi Seed co & Greenhouse seed co's version.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The best Northern Lights 5 x NH around, is held by Swami. He has the old school, 1991 NL5xNH. If youre after the real thing, go to Swami's Organic Seed Co. He also has a couple genuine, 1988 RKS crosses.

And yes, absolutely. This is def not the best strain for beginners... unless you wanna rely on getting getting lucky, its best to run 10 or 20 of em, take clones of everything before flowering. After harvest & dry/cure, pick the one or 2 best phenos & cull all the rest. Just get your seeds from Swami ;) Do this, & your chances of getting some true, next level primo, are very good.

Who bought up Nl5 x Nevs haze?

Shantibaba at mr nice had NL5x going back to the first batch nev made. He used seed from nev to make all the hybrids.
Your claim that his NL5x are not genuine or a good representation then you have not tried them

But he is a racist bigot

If your looks for the nl5xhaze from 1990 then it is not the same as I used to get in the early 1990s different flavour . The swammi seeds are not the same flavour poor knock offs

Idk if thats the case why isnt everyone raving about those rks crosses in the skunk thread then like sorry but im automatically suspicious when folk claim they got rks these days if they sell seeds i aint ran it i admit but if they are legit im just curious why you aint hearing about it so much?

Is he on about the one guy running swami. That guy says alot of crazy stuff. Has left a trail of randomly spewed rubbis from his mouth all over the place. Maybe thats whats beung refered too.

By the way tropical seeds f3 nl5haze was done beter than swamis. Ther were still phenotypes going 16- 20 weeks could be found in tropicals. But that was only a limited release. I think they sell the f4 or f5 as standard now but thats not as good. But still better than swamis.
None of them touch the f1.
