First time experiment!!

So I am just trying out a seed I found in a bud from the dispensery! I'm growing it outdoors in like a 3 gallon bucket! Just water nothing else, will I still have some possibly good stuff if it turns out without putting any extra effort into it?

Well what do I need to do then to have at least something decent ! Or will I just be wasting my time

If it's in a pot will need some fertilizer just some seaweed/kelp,and some triple 5 Dr.earth or megacrop not expensive but needed

It will need to be fed and watered at the minimum, if it’s an auto a 3 gallon container might work. If it’s a photo outdoors you’re going to need a bigger pot or it will probably be root bound and stunted. It could very likely be male, so there’s that. There’s a chance you might get something from it as well, good luck.

I've gotten some pretty good strains from the weedshop bags over the years ,lol. Grew them out ,and it was way better than the farm it came from could do, lol. No bad traits or nanners or anything. Perfectly stable genetics.

Most of them have ended up being female rodelized seeds too. You got a pretty good chance if you only find like one or 2 seeds in an oz. If there were dozens of seeds I wouldn't bother.. I usually woudn't anyway, but gambling can pay off sometimes. I've had my fair share of bag seeds grows that turned out to be hermies, etc.

if you plant it in the dirt maybe if its still in that tiny pot outdoor sun makes big plants and that small pot will turn in to pure roots.with no extra feeding i think she will not make it

There is a member here named budzbuddha. He has a good post about growing a plant. You're off to a healthy start.

I grew 3 different strains from seeds found in dispensary weed one year a ways back . All were found in weed labeled "2nd" cut . They were all female and they were all very good smoke . They went directly in the ground , no pots .

It looks pretty good. That soil looks like its powering that plant ok. Look at a bag of Dry Fertilizer ( 5-5-5 / 4-4-4 or similar ) .

Many good brands to use ( veg and bloom ) :
Example :

Roots organic VEG / BLOOM


With this one … simple. 1 heaping tablespoon in a gallon of water … mix well and water in. DONE.

DTE 4-4-4 ( general purpose )
You can use it start to finish - 5-5-5 also good.
Simple - a heaping tablespoon or so - work it into topsoil - water in . DONE.



HAPPY FROG ( veg / bloom )



Same as above - Tablespoon or so / water in.

Recipe 420 ( a personal favorite of mine )


A very good and complete dry fertilizer ( veg and bloom ) - Tablespoon on topsoil ( work it in ) and water.

Dr. Earth



Another excellent fertilizer ( most nurseries carry it )
Dr. Earth has another “ Flower Girl “ for bloom stage.

You can also just TOPDRESS more of that soil you are using and water in. By doing that you are recharging what the plant already consumed from that potted soil. AND … plant is already accustomed to it .

Lastly , do not fall for the hype about buying fancy bottles of this and that. It’s a big waste of money.

It's a weed dude just look up how to harvest and properly dry it and you will be okay.
p.s don't expect it to be like the weed you smoked exactly, seeds are like sperms of people, it's rare to get twins. You will probably get something a lot or a little different than what was in your bag.
