I couldnt stand it. I ordered 2 more packs of the Skunk X Puck BC2, from Speakeasy. Ive got 4 packs of them now, or will have when I get the other 2 packs. Theyre $75 a pack. $50 off.

While Im interested in the Females, I bought these, for the Males.
Id like to find a killer Relic Cough BX3 Female, and breed it to the C&C Skunk/Puck Male. Ive also got 4 packs of the Cough BX3.
Ive said it before. The best modern weed Ive seen, was a cross I grew from 91-97, and it was a cross of NL5 x Haze x Nevils Hashplant x Skunk 1. I never saw one bad plant, in almost 7 years of growing it. Each plant was like a clone.
It was so strong/Paranoia Inducing, that I lost customers over it. It had both a devastating body high, but would send your mind to the Venus Sulfur Mines. It would have some people extremely paranoia, and claimed I put PCP in it. One girl/woman is still mad at me, since 1995. She says I put PCP in it. It made her so sick, she had to sit on the ground, in front of the toilet, for 5 hours, dry heaving. She says theres no way, marijuana, is that strong. Ill also say this. Its stronger than a verified, Chem91skva cut I bought( $500 ) for a buddy/partner. Though not to say anything bad about the Chem91, as it is very very potent. But the hybrid I had, was on a different level.
If I could recreate my old strain, Id be mostly done, buying seeds. Id probably do some crosses, for fun, as the cross I had, made anything you crossed it with, better. It was dominant in all the crosses we tried it with. The old Hawaiian Indica, NL1, NL1 x Hawaiian. Afghani #1. I wish I could find some good representitive genes, of the old Afghani #1. I know Bob Hemphill/C&C has it, I wish he would work it, and release it,in pure form. He does have M10 crosses, which M10, is A #1.

I've finally distinguished a female shoreline x Puck bx2 plant that I've got, it took a while to show. I also have an Akbb tknl5haze male going, might entertain the idea of crossing those two.

I recently put it in a larger pot so it looks a little stressed at the moment. Ill wait till it bounces back before flower flip and get a few pictures on here. I did find a few pictures and reports here or elsewhere on the Shoreline/Puck, they were positive reviews from memory. So far in veg it seems a contender to be very resinous and smelly, the stem rub through veg has been a strong lime smell.

Nice Score! I'd definitely imagine that you can find something interesting with that combo at that scale.
Had to break my habit of seed collecting for a little while, I've got way more seeds than my time or space allows. I still am on a quest for the pre-trend winners. As I recall, weed wasn't named after anything other than basics, and still folks don't say much about what it is unless it comes from a dispo.
Fond early memories smoking some truly great stuff through the 90's! Its literally like being a kid in a candy store now with all the offerings and combinations.
I have yet to re-educate myself on the majority of the pre trend classics that we were getting. Would be nice to identify a large number of basics by smell and looks alone. I believe that kinda knowledge would be priceless to help isolate and ID some of these sought-after phenotypes that are hidden in common poly gene pools.

Cough is a Clone Only NL5 x Haze from thge early 90s. Some say it is NL5, and Haze that never went to Europe, some say it is Sensi Seeds NL5 x Haze. Me? I have no ideoa, other than that its one of the most sought after of all cuts.
Relic has the cut, and also a male. Cough x Cough BX2. They got an NL5 x Haze Male, crossed it to the Cough, picked the best male, that resembled the Cough, and backcrossed it to the clone mother.

Decades of work and preservation were dedicated towards this line, and we are thrilled for growers & breeders to experience the results of this unique masterpiece. A Limited seed release of one of the most sought after elite Northern Lights #5/Haze clones.
Large framed, bushy plants which are high yielding. Lung busting expansion upon inhale will make you choke if you’re not careful (it’s called cough for a reason!). Expect a 9 – 11 week bloom time and approximately 3-4X stretch. Smells/flavors of sandalwood, incense, ‘metallic haze’ and undertones of gas await.

Do you have plans on growing some of these C&C or Relic seed projects any time soon?
No. I wish. Situation right dictates no. But, I sure wasnt going to, and am not going to let these types of genetics go by, and not buy them.
And as Ive said before. Im mainly interested in Puck Hashplant/Original Sk1- NL5-NL5 X Haze, Pacific Northwest Hashplant, and when I say NL5, I mean the stuff Sensi Seeds had for 30 years, before something happened to it. Also, in their old ads, they used to advertise it as NL5, now its just NL.
Ive also said, if I could accurately recreate a strain I lost to the Feds in 1997, I would be done, buying seeds.
I had a NL5 x Haze x Nevils Hashplant x Sk1, and would give almost whatever I could afford to pay for seeds. Id easily give $3000 for 15 seeds. I only started with 15 seeds of it, and open pollinated all of them, and had it for 6 years. And it was as good as anything I ever smoked, since 1967. Some didnt like it though, because it was paranoia inducing, with a heavy body stone, and the type of weed that would immobilize many, but also give them extreme anxiety.
Also back in the day, NL5 x Haze, came with a warning.

What is your opinion or experience with modern versions of older genetics offered today, are they accurate representations of what they were in the past?
I frequently aquired weed from outta Cali here in the Midwest through the ninetys. That connection always far outshined anything else being offered by other local connections. I'm on a side quest trying to puzzle some of the pieces of true older representation back together as well. The product recieved then had zero attribute due to being an underground connection, second hand. So that only further complicated things on my end, but If I seen and smelled it again, I'd know it in an instant.

Much of the Modern Versions, are the same in name only. I mainly try and source F2, or whatever is the closest to the original genetics. Many of these companies lost their original breeding stock, and many just made bad selections over time, and the genes crapped out.

Thats one reason I like C&C, Relic, and AKBeanBrains. They have a good deal of old F2 genetics, and also some of the original clones that are still around. Theres others I like. But those 3 are a good start, to sourcing old 80s-90s genetics-F2, and worked lines.
I also like Joey Weed @ Hemp Depot.ca-Hes got Pre2000 AK47-White Widow-C99-Blueberry. Though Im not real interested in Blueberry.
Lucky 13 Seeds have some really good genetics. Professor Sprout, does good work. Hes got a Super Skunk, Peanut Butter Herijuana-White Russian, and several other really sought after strains.
NWSun, on Strainly, has a killer deal on F2 of C&C only release of the Pacific Northwest Hashplant x Puck/NL1 BC1. $45 a pack. I bought 2, and got one free. $100 for 3 packs of some of the best genetics around. This is the closest thing there is, to Nevils Original 84-85 release of his Hashplant strain. This is extremely good weed/Indica.
He also has F2 of Karma Genetics Sour Diesel, for $60 a pack. These go for stupid expensive prices from the originator, but arent available, even if one had the money fopr them. So at $60 a pack, its a steal. But he does say jsut as far as powerful weed, the PNWHP Hashplant, is the strongest weed, in his garden.
