So as far as I know the legalization bill is passed and now it goes to the senate for review? Is that correct?

Has the texted that bill been posted anywhere? I'm interested in the text specifically for recreational home growing...

Recreational home growing will depend on each province, far as I know Quebec, Newfoundland there will be no home growers , but that's second hand news

Not so! Cultivation is federal jurisdiction. Some provinces have said they won't allow home grows but Tousaw has said that violates the constitution. It's going to be fun to watch!

That's my take too. Even excessive rules to 'strengthen' home grows will be struck down. Phelan heard all the BS at the Allard trial and said they were out to lunch. It's going to be a comedy show!

From the little i read so far it does sound like the feds are just offloading the homegrow regs on the provinces. Its pretty short and vague... obviously little thought put into it.

Its going to start a shit show...

What thought was needed? How much federal intervention is there for growing tomatoes? Provinces have NEVER complained about booze and the fact everyone can make their own. They have no idea who is brewing up a batch of beer or wine. Alcohol use and abuse costs billion$ in resources every year - how much 'offloading' is it when you tell people they can grow 4 plants in the privacy of their own home? There are medical grows in every province and territory, and has been for 17 years. Maybe these provinces can show evidence that home grows are a burden to justify the whining?
This is just more politician greed.

I just thought that it would save them a lot of trouble if they had used language in the bill that specified provinces don't have the option to forbid home grows. Would have save themselves a lot of trouble....
