For older material, rosin press or closed loop BHO?

Have a friend with a lot of material getting about a year old, and they want to extract. Which would be better for the older material, rosin press or MKIII extractor??? I have been thinking about doing them for years, and know about all of the safety issues regarding BHO. My only concerns are exact parts (making sure threads match), and no to only do outside with fans.

Old material will be dark and partially decarboxylated. What do you plan to do with the extract?

I am just hoping not to waste it or throw it out. Would like to smoke/vape, but making edibles would be better than losing it. I have cannabutter/cookies in freezer for years without noticeable decline in potency.

Your yield will ostensibly be higher with the Mk III on older material and it should be adequate for vaporizing and medibles.
