we use corona treaters on p.e.t. at work in order to open up the plastic to allow better adhesion with the p.e.t. and the uv ink we print on it.. they give off a blue color like you said, it tends to smell like it does when it's about to rain or is raining, has a very ozone smell to it..

Kiwi power company's are paranoid as hell.
When I was living in NZ 6 years ago and with genesis power had the cops come around because they suspected something was up with my power usage.
Went from pulling 1800W 8pm to 8am down to pulling nothing.
They went though my meter box and wiring with a technician and searched the roof and garage.

Little did the know my power usage was from bitcoin mining which I only did at night time since its only way I could keep my mining rigs cool. And power usage suddenly stopped since I stopped mining.
Was shit back those days having to be clean since they did weekly drug testing for the company I was contracted to.
Happy now I live in Uruguay again and can do what ever the hell I want.

One of the most unpleasant experiences of my life.
They didn't know what bitcoins were either and I didn't know if they were corrupt or not and going to literately plant some evidence.
Missed work the day after and that got me a written warning for breaching contract.
Finished out the rest of my time and left.

Is the government there considered nationalist?

No charges, I'm guessing?

Did they bash in your door? Were they wearing paramilitary clothing and heavily armed (SWAT team)?

Was there any evidence other than a 'suspicious' power consumption profile?

Dont know anything about the government there.
No charges just held for the maximum time they could which was 24 hours.
Didn't kick the door down, They knocked was 5 officers. 2 at the front door. 2 at the rear door and 1 walking a dog around the yard.
They sat me down at my table with hand cuffs and got the guy in from a power co ute to come in and they all looked around.
Then questioned me about my power usage for the last 4 months and didn't believe me saying it was bitcoin mining since none of them had heard of it.
Got taken down to the station and put in the hold. Nothing to eat or drink until about the same time the next day when they released me.
Didn't have my wallet or mobile phone on me so made for quite a long walk home.

I later found out that you are meant to be provided a lawyer but none wanted to help me out since I wasn't a resident and my English is quite poor.
It could of all be sorted out in a few minutes if they had just done a web search on what bitcoins are and looking at my computer hardware.

Now reading this made me want to share something, a few months ago I had just got my 600w it had been hooked up not even a week. One night me and the wife decide to get a little frisky, as soon as I push her up against the wall I hear a loud BOOM and the power goes out. Now it may just be awesome timing but I like to think we did that. The next day when the crews came out, they replaced the transformer, shit still wasn't working. They came to the pole that my house runs from. I'm sitting in my room window open I hear him yell MOTHERFUCKER about 20 minutes later the power came on. Blew out the whole block. I do live where they have not updated the grid since they put it in in I think the 20s so I'm sure that accounts for something too.
