Grew 3 of these last year moving them into greenhouse before fall rains. Used homemade compost with no additions and the plants were flawless. The buds are so strawberry sweet even with small leaves left on the buds. They were about 6' tall and 5' wide. Smelled like strawberry incense.
I grew the Sugar Black Rose F1 outdoors in the ground. Mine finished in late August before the Oregon rains begin. Mine got to be taller than I am and the smoke was very good. I quit growing it because the plant is so large and difficult to hide. Never got fertilizer of any kind and no problem...
Just chopped 3 plants with mold in mid-August. Dang. One little shower, a couple of cooler, cloudy days and there's grey rot in chunky colas. Should have put up my beach umbrella.
Consider growing more, smaller autos. You end up with a variety which is nice during the long winter days. The same old stuff get's old after a while and variety is the spice of life.
Outdoors, I've had really great luck with Dinafem XXL's. The Haze xxl is particularly tasty and I got a lot of good bud from it. My best for quantity is the Sugar Black Rose Early Version from Delicious Seeds. Harvested the 7'giant in late August. It's fem but not an auto. Buena Suerte
I grow autos and usually get the best prices through Seed City, especially if it's one of their 'specials'. My tried and true are:
Mephisto, Dinafem, Fast Buds.
Where I live and grow outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, early, fall rains are famous for destroying outdoor crops. I raise autos in pots 3-5 gallons and these are easy to move out of bad weather and are also very easy to hide. They produce several ounces and the new auto flowers are...
I consistently get several ounces of "OUT OF THIS WORLD", bud that looks like each cola has been dipped in powdered sugar; from each auto. No longer do I have to wait and worry about bud rot, maggots and other common pests. I start them in medium size peat pots they can grow through because they...
I'm on the 45th in Pacific NW. Got so sick of throwing away POUNDS of buds that were rotting because of the rain/humidity. Now, I start auto/fem seeds indoors in late spring and plant them after mid May outdoors. I use large pots so I can move them if needed but I begin selective harvesting of...
Grow outdoor in NW Oregon for MANY years. Don't use photo's at all any more because the auto's have gotten so much bigger and stronger. When I grow them in the ground in organic compost, I use one of those picnic umbrellas in a buried plastic pipe if it's going to rain and I'm still harvesting...
Don't know if anyone checking this thread cares but my experience has shown me that flowers harvested with clear and white trichomes slowly turned to a majority amber after storage for 3 years in clamped, ceramic coffee storage jar. The jars are usually cheap in thrift stores.
When I hear someone insult the intelligence of another with a differing opinion, I'm pretty sure they haven't made the transition from ATTACKS to FACTS. They have run out of ammunition and now must resort to insults...
Recommend you doing the same but next time use AUTO FEMINIZED SEED. Dinafem makes some XXL auto plants that get huge, have crazy buds, and they're done in about 85 days from seed.
